Over the last three decades the name synonymous for describing woodheaters, wether it be a discussion point among friends about possibly installing one, or even when sourcing spare parts and replacement items for models that have served many years in one's home, the heater described by all is Coonara.

Since the late 1970's, Coonara woodheaters has led the way in superior design, innovation, construction and performance across its exstensive range of slow combustion wood heaters.

Over the years Coonara has been recognised a total of 12 times with National and International design awards.

In September 2001, the sale of Coonara (Aust.) Pty.Ltd. which had been a seperate division of the public company Maxi-Trans/Maxi Que was finally completed. It was this sale that put final closure on the company called Coonara (Aust.) Pty.Ltd.

Coonara the company, had now been absorbed as part of the aquisition made by a private company called Shamic Sheetmetal (Aust.) Pty.Ltd. in late 2001. Coonara's full range of products are now available and sold as a brand through Shamic Sheetmetal and it's Dealer network of up to 300 Agents Australia wide.
